Livepeer Agent × Claude Cowork · Video Editing

Edit video into scroll-stopping cuts — by chatting with Claude Cowork

No timeline. No menus. No render settings. You tell Claude Cowork what you want in plain English, it does the editing on the Livepeer network, and it hands back a finished video. This guide shows you exactly what to say — and what Cowork says back — so it's easy to follow.

Everything below is a real back-and-forth: the purple line is what you type; the blue line is what Cowork replies.

Why this is easy: what Cowork does for you

Cowork isn't a black box. It's a collaborator that keeps you in control — no surprises, no jargon:

Set up once (about a minute)

  1. Open Claude Cowork

The same Claude you already chat with — just make sure you're in a Cowork session.

  2. Check that "Livepeer Agent" is connected

Livepeer Agent shows up as a connected tool in Cowork. If it's already listed, you're ready. If not, whoever manages your Claude workspace turns it on once — then it's there for everyone.

  3. Have a video link ready

Paste a link to your clip, or drag your file into the storyboard web app to get a link back. Then just start chatting — like the examples below.

First time it does something that costs money, Cowork asks you to approve a "progress" step so it can stream updates — click Always allow once and you won't be interrupted again.

Cowork does this bestReframe one video for every platform Shoot once, post everywhere — vertical for Reels & TikTok, square for the feed, wide for YouTube.

The biggest time-saver. Most footage is filmed wide (16:9), but Reels and TikTok are tall (9:16) and the in-feed post is square (1:1). Instead of re-cropping by hand in three apps, ask Cowork once — it keeps the important part of the frame (faces stay in shot) while it crops.

🗣 You

Here's a wide video of our founder. Make it vertical for Reels and keep his face in frame. https://…founder.mp4

🤖 Cowork

Got it — I'll crop this 16:9 clip to a 9:16 vertical and keep the speaker centered. That's about a cent. Go ahead?

🗣 You

1 and 2

Why marketers love it: one shoot becomes a full platform set in minutes — and the numbered menu means you never have to remember what to ask for next.

Want all sizes at once? Just say so.

🗣 You

From this one video, give me three cuts: 9:16 for TikTok, 1:1 for the feed, and keep the original 16:9 for YouTube. Keep faces in frame. https://…clip.mp4

🤖 Cowork

Three cuts coming up — about 3¢ total. Go?

Bring your own footageTurn your clips into a finished cut Phone footage, screen recordings, stock, product shots — stitched into one video, with music.

Hand Cowork your clips (as links) in the order you want them and it assembles them into one video you can keep editing.

🗣 You

Stitch these three clips into one video in this order, and put a light upbeat music bed under it: 1) https://…intro.mp4 2) https://…product-demo.mp4 3) https://…closing.mp4

🤖 Cowork

Stitched ✓ Here's your combined video with a soundtrack: [link]

It's fully editable — want to tweak anything?

🗣 You

3 — put a card that says New This Fall between clip 1 and 2

Missing a shot? Just ask — "add a slow product beauty shot after the intro" — and Cowork generates one that drops straight into your timeline.

Watched on muteAdd captions from the spoken words ~85% of social video is watched with the sound off. Captions aren't optional.

Point Cowork at a talking-head clip, testimonial, or voiceover. It listens, writes the captions, times them, and burns them on.

🗣 You

Add captions to this video from what the person is saying, and burn them in. https://…testimonial.mp4

🤖 Cowork

Listening and writing the captions… this one has speech, so I'll time each line and burn them on.

Done ✓ Captioned video: [link] — and here's the transcript if you want to tweak wording.

Stack it: "Make this vertical for Reels, then add burned-in captions" — Cowork does them in order and hands back the finished cut.

Real-world footageClean up shaky, noisy, rambling clips Phone footage rarely comes out post-ready. Three quick fixes make it look shot on purpose.

🗣 You

This handheld clip is shaky and the audio has background hiss. Stabilize it and clean up the sound. https://…walking-shot.mp4

🤖 Cowork

I'll steady the footage and strip the background noise — two quick passes, a couple of cents. Go?

🗣 You

Go. Also trim the silence off the start and end.

🤖 Cowork

All three done ✓ Smoother picture, cleaner voice, and it now starts right on the first word: [link]

New: Cowork can now also remove the pauses in the middle automatically, and cut out flubbed lines — see Tighten the talk below.

New — Cowork does this nowTighten a talk — kill the dead air, the "um"s & flubbed lines The single biggest pacing win for talking-heads, interviews, and podcasts.

Long silent pauses (停顿音) and "um"s make a talk drag. Now you can strip both in one line — Cowork removes the dead air and the filler words, and re-stitches the speech so it moves. You can also point at a sentence you flubbed and have it cut.

🗣 You

This is a great take but it drags. Remove the long pauses and the filler words (the ums and uhs) so it's snappier. https://…founder-talk.mp4

🤖 Cowork

Done ✓ Cut the dead air and the "um / uh" filler, kept every real word. Noticeably tighter: [link]

Want me to also cut a specific line?

🗣 You

Yes — cut the part where he says "scratch that, let me start over."

🤖 Cowork

Removed that line and closed the gap seamlessly: [link]

Great for
Founder clips, interviews, testimonials, podcast video, webinar cut-downs — anything with someone talking.
Good to know
Removing "um / uh / er / ah" is on by default when you ask to remove fillers. Words that are usually filler but sometimes real — like "like" or "so" — aren't cut unless you ask ("also cut the 'like's"), so it never trims a word you meant.

New — Cowork does this nowBrand it — drop on a logo, product, or lower-third Put your mark on every clip: a corner logo, a product image, or a name/title bar.

One line adds your logo or a product shot to a corner, or a branded lower-third (a name-and-title bar that fades in). Great for watermarking, sponsor placements, or naming the person on screen.

Add a logo or product image to a corner

🗣 You

Put our logo in the bottom-right of this clip. video: https://…clip.mp4 · logo: https://…logo.png

🤖 Cowork

Logo added, bottom-right at 18% width: [link]

Want it bigger, more transparent, or in a different corner?

Add a name & title lower-third

🗣 You

Add a lower-third that says Ada Lovelace, Founder & CEO. https://…interview.mp4

🤖 Cowork

Added a branded lower-third that fades in — "Ada Lovelace · Founder & CEO": [link]

Stacks with everything: "make it vertical, add captions, tighten the pauses, and put our logo bottom-right" — Cowork runs the whole chain and hands back one finished, on-brand cut.

New — Cowork does this nowFind the moment in a long recording Point Cowork at an hour of footage and ask where something is — no scrubbing.

Cowork listens to (and watches) your video and turns it into a searchable list of moments — so you can jump straight to the part you need.

🗣 You

What's in this recording, and find where he talks about pricing? https://…webinar.mp4

🤖 Cowork

Here's what I found — the pricing part is at 12:30–14:05: "So our starter plan is…". I also tagged the intro (0:00), the demo (4:10), and the Q&A (22:40). Want me to clip any of those?

Great for
Webinars, interviews, podcasts, lecture recordings — anything long you need to navigate or pull a clip from.

New — Cowork does this nowTurn a long video into social shorts The podcast-to-clips move: one long recording → a set of ready-to-post vertical clips.

Cowork finds the best moments, cuts them, reframes each to 9:16, and burns captions — a batch of shorts from one source, in one ask.

🗣 You

Turn this 45-minute podcast into 5 vertical clips for TikTok, captioned. https://…podcast.mp4

🤖 Cowork

On it — I'll find the 5 strongest moments, cut each, reframe to 9:16, and burn captions. A couple of minutes.

Done ✓ 5 clips ready to post: [clip 1] [clip 2] [clip 3] [clip 4] [clip 5]

Why marketers love it
It's the OpusClip move — but here you can also drop in a generated intro, b-roll, or logo, because Cowork generates too (see below).

Only Livepeer Agent can do thisGenerate and edit in one breath The moat: Cowork doesn't just cut what you shot — it can generate what you didn't, and weave it into your real footage. A cut-only editor (like CapCut or a transcript editor like ChatCut) can't make the missing pieces.

Cowork has 150+ AI models on tap — video, images, voices, music — right next to the editing tools. So a single ask can create new footage and finish it into your timeline. Two examples that are impossible in an edit-only tool:

1 · Localize a real clip into another language — in the same voice

Take one real founder/testimonial clip and ship a Spanish (or any-language) version that still sounds like them. No reshoot, no separate dubbing studio.

🗣 You

Make a Spanish version of this clip in the founder's own voice, with Spanish captions burned in. https://…founder-en.mp4

🤖 Cowork

Here's the plan — I'll transcribe the English, translate it, clone his voice from the clip and speak the Spanish in it, swap the audio, and burn Spanish captions. About 15¢. Go?

🗣 You

Go

🤖 Cowork

Done ✓ Spanish cut, his voice, captions on: [link]. Want French and German too?

Gen + edit
Generate: voice clone + translated speech. Edit: transcribe → swap audio → burn captions → reframe.
Why only here
A cut-only editor can trim and caption the English clip — but it can't generate a new voice track in the speaker's cloned voice. That needs a voice model sitting next to the editor.

2 · Turn one product photo + one testimonial into a full ad

You have a single product still and a 15-second customer clip. Cowork invents the lifestyle b-roll you never shot, then cuts it all into a branded reel.

🗣 You

From this product photo, put it in 3 lifestyle scenes (kitchen, gym, outdoors) and make each one move. Then stitch: the 3 scenes, then this customer testimonial, add upbeat music and our logo, and give me a 9:16 cut for Reels. photo: https://…bottle.png · testimonial: https://…review.mp4

🤖 Cowork

Got it — I'll place the bottle into 3 generated scenes (keeping its exact shape & label), animate each, then assemble scenes → testimonial with a music bed, add the logo, and reframe to 9:16. ~60¢, about 2 minutes. Go?

🗣 You

Go

🤖 Cowork

Done ✓ A 9:16 ad: 3 AI lifestyle shots of your bottle → the real testimonial → music + logo: [link]

Gen + edit
Generate: product-in-scene placement (×3) + motion + music. Edit: stitch + music bed + logo overlay + 9:16 reframe.
Why only here
An edit-only tool can stitch clips you give it — but it can't generate the three product-in-scene shots. Livepeer Agent makes the footage and the cut.

3 · Podcast → shorts, each with a generated branded intro

Auto-clipping is table stakes now. The twist: Cowork also generates a branded intro card and glues it on — so every clip is on-brand, not just cut.

🗣 You

Cut this podcast into 5 vertical clips, and put a 2-second animated intro card with our logo and the episode title on the front of each. https://…podcast.mp4

🤖 Cowork

Done ✓ 5 captioned 9:16 clips, each opening on a branded title card: [clip 1]…[clip 5]

Why only here
OpusClip-style clippers cut your footage; they can't generate a branded animated intro and fuse it onto each clip in the same pass.

4 · Fix a flubbed line — in the speaker's own voice

He said the wrong price. No reshoot: find the line, regenerate it in his cloned voice, splice it back.

🗣 You

At one point he says "$49 a month" — it should be "$39". Find that line and fix it in his own voice. https://…founder.mp4

🤖 Cowork

Found it at 0:48. I cloned his voice, regenerated "…thirty-nine dollars a month…", and spliced it in seamlessly: [link]

Why only here
An editor can only cut — it can't regenerate a corrected line in the original voice. That needs a voice model beside the editor.

5 · One clip → three languages, same voice, each platform-sized

Localize and repurpose in one breath: three dubbed versions in the speaker's voice, each reframed and captioned for its platform.

🗣 You

From this clip, give me Spanish, French, and German versions in the founder's voice — each 9:16 with captions in that language. https://…clip-en.mp4

🤖 Cowork

Done ✓ Three localized, voice-matched, vertical, captioned cuts: [ES] [FR] [DE]

Why only here
Generation (translate + voice-clone dub) fused with editing (reframe + caption) × three, from one ask — no cut-only tool can produce the voice tracks.
The pattern: whenever you're missing a shot, a voice, a language, a scene, or a soundtrack — you don't go find another tool. You just ask, and Cowork generates it and finishes it into the same cut. That's the one thing a cut-only editor structurally cannot match.

No footage? No problemMake a still photo move Turn a product shot, headshot, or logo lockup into gentle motion b-roll.

A slow pan-and-zoom (the "Ken Burns" effect) makes a single image feel like real footage — perfect for b-roll, intros, or a beat between clips. It's fast and costs almost nothing.

🗣 You

Turn this product photo into a 5-second clip with a slow push-in, so I can use it as b-roll. https://…product-hero.jpg

🤖 Cowork

Here's your 5-second push-in — ready to drop into a reel: [link]

Want a version that pans left instead, or a slow pull-out to reveal the whole scene?

The full walkthrough: one phone clip → a week of posts

Here's a start-to-finish session you can copy. Say each line to Cowork, glance at what it hands back, then say the next. You're the director; Cowork does the editing.

  1. Hand Cowork your raw clip

"Here's a 90-second phone video of our founder talking about the new launch: https://…founder.mp4"

  2. Clean it up

"Stabilize it, clean up the audio, and remove the long pauses and the ums so it's snappier." → Cowork: about 3¢, go? → "Go"

  3. Tighten to a hook

"Now give me just the strongest 20 seconds as its own clip." (Tell it the moment, or the time range you liked. Flubbed a line? "Cut the part where he says …" and it closes the gap.)

  4. Make the platform set

"From that 20-second cut, make a 9:16 for Reels/TikTok, a 1:1 for the feed, and keep a 16:9 for YouTube. Keep his face in frame." → Cowork returns three links.

  5. Caption for mute autoplay

"Add burned-in captions to the vertical and square versions."

  6. Add a b-roll sign-off

"Make a 4-second slow push-in from this product shot and put it at the end of each version: https://…product.jpg"

  7. Brand every version

"Put our logo in the bottom-right of all three: https://…logo.png"

The result: from one unpolished phone clip — a stabilized, captioned, on-brand set sized for TikTok, Reels, the feed, and YouTube. A week of posts, one Cowork session, zero editing software.

Three ways to get more out of Cowork

⚡ Turn on "just go" mode

Say "just go, cap it at $20 a day." Cowork stops asking before small edits and only checks in before posting to social. Great for a heads-down editing session.

🔗 Chain asks in one breath

"Make this vertical, add captions, and put our logo in the corner." Cowork does them in sequence and hands back one finished cut.

📦 Batch a campaign

Five testimonials? "Give all five the same treatment — clean, caption, and reframe to vertical." Cowork shows the total cost once, then does the set.

✍️ Iterate like a director

Don't love a cut? "Make the captions bigger," "start on the second sentence," "try a slower zoom." Cowork re-does just that part — the rest stays locked.

If a long render seems to pause: just ask "is it done?" Cowork checks the same job and hands you the result — it never re-charges you for a re-ask.
