Claude Desktop / Cursor / Codex — in your MCP config:
{
"mcpServers": {
"livepeer-agent": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://agent.livepeer.org/api/mcp"
}
}
}
No headers block. No Authorization. That's the whole setup.
Restart your client and try:
A watercolor sunset over Tokyo.
You'll get a real image back in a few seconds, generated on the Livepeer GPU network. Other things that work straight away:
One number: about $10 of demo credit, spendable over 7 days at each model's real price. Nothing is counted or clamped — every model and every tool is available, and what differs is only how much of the balance a render uses.
| Thing | Free demo |
|---|---|
| Images | Any image model. Roughly $0.003–$0.06 each |
| Video | Any video model. Roughly $0.20–$2 a clip, so plan on a handful |
| Multi-scene stories | Any length the balance covers |
| Browsing models & pricing | Free — discovery calls never draw down credit |
The balance is per network address and refreshes on a rolling 7-day window. Renders come back with a note showing what each one cost and what's left, so nothing is hidden. Ask “what models can you use, and what do they cost?” before an expensive one.
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| No tools appear | Restart the client fully — most only read MCP config at startup. |
| “Demo credits spent” | The balance — not the tool — ran out. Verify your email to raise it, or add a key. |
| Credit went faster than expected | The balance is shared per network address (shared office / VPN networks drain it faster), and video costs 10–100× an image. Ask for the price before a big render. |
